You&amp;rsquo;ll need a power supply that won&amp;rsquo;t flinch when those lamps kick in, and you absolutely have to keep the housing ventilated. If you forget the cooling, you&amp;rsquo;re not just heating the glass—you&amp;rsquo;re warping your entire machine frame.&#xA;But the payoff is huge.&#xA;When the glass is soft, your diamond wheels stop taking a beating. You can finally stop worrying about those tiny micro-chips that usually kill a blade after a few hundred meters. It&amp;rsquo;s a night-and-day difference in how long your tools actually last.&#xA;The trick is finding the sweet spot.&#xA;If you go too hot, you&amp;rsquo;ll get thermal shock and the glass will just crack wherever it feels like. You have to play around with the lamp distance and how long it dwells on the glass. You want it soft, but not so hot that it starts to flow.
